Funerals

Grace-St. Paul’s will celebrate life in the face of death, whether or not the deceased was a member of the church. All arrangements for burial and memorial services are made in consultation with the clergy of the parish. Burial and memorial services follow the rites authorized by the Episcopal Church. Christian burials are customarily held in the church but for pastoral reasons may be held at the funeral home or graveside.

Our Memorial Garden

A small haven of beauty nestled behind the church is a final place of rest for those who choose to place their cremated remains in our memorial garden.

Funeral Planning

  • Advanced Planning

Planning one’s funeral or memorial service in advance removes the burden of deciding how to best honor a loved one while also navigating grief. If you would like to select the readings and hymns as a final way to care and connect with your loved ones, please contact our priest.

  • At Time of Death

Please notify clergy of the need for a memorial service or funeral as soon as possible so that schedules can be navigated and due care can be given to the preparation of the liturgical services.

  • Liturgical Planning

One key element to liturgical planning is selecting readings. For your convenience, the readings have been assembled into this file.

Readings are a wonderful way to include loved ones to participate in the liturgy. Please know the Gospel selection is reserved for ordained clergy, deacons or priests.
