All things come from thee, O Lord, and of thine own have we given thee.
This Sunday marks the start of our slow return to in person gatherings on the grounds here at Grace St Paul’s.
On Sunday, June 28th we will begin offering our three services:
8 am – Morning Prayer (in the church)
10 am – Morning Prayer (on Zoom)
5:30 pm – Evening Prayer (outside on the church grounds, weather permitting*)
In order to be sensitive to all levels of comfort, we will continue to offer online services as well as in person services. Evening Prayer will remain on Zoom Monday – Friday at 5:30 pm. Bible study will continue Wednesdays at 1:30 pm to 3 pm online as well.
*If the weather doesn’t allow for outdoor worship the 5:30 service will be held on zoom.
There are protocols for safety that we have agreed to meet as we transition. We based these on the most current information that has been gathered by the diocese through the RRR task force. This committee approves each step of reopening to minimize the risk to all who choose to attend in person services. Agreeing to these is an act of love on our part for those in our community who are at high risk for the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Take a few moments to read the following to be prepared for in person services, should you decide to attend at this time:
- The 8 am Morning Prayer service will be held in the sanctuary of the church. Following social distancing rules, pews will be set 6 feet apart. Any members of the same household can sit together in one pew, otherwise it is recommended that individuals sit at either end of the pew to keep the distance. Everyone is asked to bring their own mask, and if you do not have one or forget to bring one, one will be provided for you. Please be attentive to the 6 foot distancing and follow signage for traffic flow. The space will be maintained for a high level of disinfection both before and after the services. Hand sanitizer will also be provided. Single use service leaflets will be provided. Our maximum capacity at this service is currently 25, and if there are more who come to the service we will ask that they attend one of the other services offered.
- The 10 am Morning Prayer service will be held through the medium of Zoom. If you have not attended one of these services and would like to join in, the meeting is 593 860 5654 and password GraSP. Bear in mind that this is in no way a “virtual” worship – it is genuine worship regardless of how or where we gather.
- The 5:30 Evening Prayer service will be held outside on the grounds of the church. Please bring your mask, and something to sit on (blankets, chairs, towels.)There will be some shade available for those who need to be out of the sun, but you are also welcome to bring umbrellas for personal shade. Social distancing will be practiced, and hand sanitizer will be provided. Our maximum capacity at this time is 50, and if there are more who come to the service we will ask that they attend one of the other services offered. If the weather doesn’t allow for outdoor worship the 5:30 service will be held on zoom.
It is essential to keep in mind that if you are not feeling well, please do not attend the in person services. Again, we are honoring those in our community who are at a high risk by following these simple steps.
Also, we will need to keep attendance for those who come to services, in order to be able to provide contact information in the case of an attendee testing positive for the virus. If we do not have your contact information (name, phone number and email) one of the usher will glady take it before the service, or you can forward your contact to the office before attending.
If you have any questions regarding the first stage of return, please contact the parish office – (609) 586-6004 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
