Eyes that cannot see

Author Mother Amy, Written Dec 3, 2016

Matthew 9:27–31 As Jesus went on his way, two blind men followed him, crying loudly, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!” When he entered the house, the blind men came to him; and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to him, “Yes, Lord.” Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith let it be done to you.” And their eyes were opened.”

The men who ask for mercy are given sight. It’s not what they asked for, but they were given what they truly needed. Pray for trust in God’s wisdom to grant what is best for us.

When you pray do you try to explain to God what you need and why? I do. Think about how to open your prayers to listen with anticipation that God will speak to you.
